What I can do for you

I am a senior IT and business consultant located close to Toronto in Ontario’s Niagara Region. For more than twenty years I have had the pleasure and privilege of helping organizations undertake the technology-enabled redesign and automation of complex business processes often for projects that were business critical, complex and/or pioneering. Many of these projects have been for public sector clients, especially the government of Ontario. These engagements let me take advantage of my experience as a senior manager in the Ontario Public Service and I enjoy working with dedicated public servants and being part of the important work they do.

Typically, I am engaged for a project when:

A client has been given new responsibilities and is working out how to meet them;
A client has a general concept of a solution;
An organization has run into difficulties designing or implementing changes; and/or
A project has several parallel streams that need direction, alignment and coordination.
My role may called business architect, business analyst or project manager but to me they are part of an overall business design and automation process. I have taken a shot at showing this process and the roles I play in this diagram but of course nothing is ever this simple or predictable.

I have prepared over 200 proposals for IT staffing, consulting, servicexs and solution vendors across Canada with a high success rate. In addition to my experience in proposal writing, I bring a comprehensive knowledge of information technology and my pubic-sector experience.

This service lets vendors focus on their core activities, provide new services, and/or enter new markets.

For me, this is a way of staying in touch with the IT industry and marketplace improves my ability to develop RFPs and other procurement instruments.
